As I was checking the news this morning, this article (click to read)

was in my entertainment feed. It made me laugh because the world truly has changed since Justin Timberlake last released an album.

How the World has Changed

• The X-Box 360 was less than a year old, while both the PS3 and the Nintendo Wii were a month away from going on sale to the general public.
•  I was still in high school (class of 2007).  I have since earned a BA and a MA.
• I was one of those people still walking around with my Zune and I think I had a LG Cherry Chocolate.

• Bird Flu was spreading.
• Twitter had just launched in July. It now has 500 million+ users. 
• Ugly Betty (one of my favorite shows) was just about to premiere. ( The last episode was April 14, 2010.)
• Katie Couric had just left Today a few months before.
• Avg. gas price in 2006 : $2.40 — today $3.31.
• Pluto was downgraded from a Planet to a dwarf planet by The International Astronomical Union ( IAU ).
• Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston were still alive. (P.S. Amy Winehouse released Back to Black the month after Justin released Futuresex/LoveSounds).
• George W. Bush was midway through his second term as president, Saddam Hussein was still alive, and Barack Obama was serving as the junior senator from Illinois. And no one outside of Alaska had heard of Sarah Palin, who was running for governor of the state.
